Schalter der Baureihe 4120 sind einpolige, thermische Schutzschalter mit Gewindehalsbefestigung, Druck/Zug-Betätigung, Temperaturkompensation und hohem Schaltvermögen und wahlweise Hilfskontakt. Sie besitzen ein zuverlässiges Schaltverhalten durch eine unbeeinflussbare Freiauslösung.
Die besondere Konstruktion erlaubt Anwendung unter extremen Umweltbedingungen. Es sind verschiedene Attrappen ohne elektrische Schutzfunktionen zum Befestigen vorinstallierter Verdrahtung ohne Verbraucher verfügbar.
